Rahne has always tried to control her emotions, so she could avoid doing or feeling bad things.
That is, until Sharon came around and convinced her to act upon her desires.

When superstars and cannonballs are running through your head,
television freak show cops and robbers everywhere,
subway makes me nervous, people pushing me too far,
got to break away so take my hand now because
I want to live like animals,
careless and free like animals,
I want to live, I want to run through the jungle,
the wind in my hair and the sand at my feet.
I've been having difficulties keeping to myself
feelings and emotions better left up in the shelf,
animals and children tell the truth, they never lie,
which one is more human? There's a thought, now you decide...
Compassion in the jungle,
compassion in your hands;
would you like to make a run for it?
would you like to take my hand?
I want to live like animals,
careless and free like animals,
I want to live, I want to run through the jungle,
the wind in my hair and the sand at my feet.
Sometimes this life can get you down,
it's so confusing, there's so many rules to follow
but I don't feel it because I just run away in my mind.

Ah, now, the relationship between these two is one element of The New Mutants that I always thought deserved more attention. Commercial realities would have prevented it, of course, since none of the individual characters of the New Mutants were popular enough to hold their own series, but a Wolfsbane and Catseye limited series could have been great. Rahne must have realized that Catseye was near the bottom of the developmental ladder, yet was still tempted by her unrestrained behavior; that made the relationship both interesting and humorous.
Anyway! Consider that first paragraph simply an explanation of my appreciation for your drawing these two together. I like the choice of setting, as it makes the scene very real, much more than it would without a background or in an otherworldly setting. One of them being in beast form and the other not is something that I don't think was ever tried in the series, and it works well, as though Rahne is having a great time but still trying to maintain control. And she just looks cute as a button in that outfit, especially with Catseye romping beside her that way. It's just such a breezy and beautiful drawing.
Also, Cannonball (or is it Jetstream? Hard to tell from that distance) in the background is an interesting touch.
