ZZ design, Domador, unused

Design for ReTaZoS's Zirkuszelt.

David gave me a restriction when he asked me to do the designs for the characters of Zirkuszelt: he wanted me to stay inside a limited palette when coloring them.

He wanted everything to have red and gold. I requested for black and white to be allowed, as well, and yellow and silver as variants for gold and white, respectively.

Even so, it was challenging to restrain myself whenever I wanted to use green or blue or purple. I felt I was running out of combinations for these four (six) colors very quickly.

Here, I used the fake fur as a stand-in for yellow and gold, with the cape being white fake fur with some mane-like motif (like Kraven, LOL, sue me if I thought of him when designing this).

In the end, David's restriction was well worth it and then some! Seeing all the characters together wearing only those colors gave a good sense of unity, and I think they did not look all "repeated" (or that's what I like to believe).

Now, Naím joined the cast when Pancho had to leave because of his new job. By then, the concept for Domador had already been created and approved.

But he had something else in mind, so this design (already using Naím's pseudo-likeness) was scrapped.

Naím Valverde is Domador.

Star: Black tattoo in his arm, but this was not used, so wait for the final version.
